The 2018 Data Protection Act is aimed at ensuring that your personal, confidential and sometimes sensitive data, is held privately and securely. It is my intention to ensure that any data you provide is managed respectfully, kept secure and only used for the purposes for which it has been provided. I will keep your personal data purely to assist in providing hypnotherapy and other related services to you. I will collect your name, addresses , email address and Telephone Number. This information will be used in order to contact you about our appointments. During your Initial Consultation I will ask questions about your occupation/education, health, pastimes and what you wish to achieve with the help of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. These questions help me to get to know you and plan for your therapy. During our appointments I will make brief notes which help to record your progress and formulate your therapy sessions. All information collected is stored on password protected devices and any data recorded on paper is kept in a locked file in accordance with GDPR regulations. The National Council for Hypnotherapy requests that I keep any written records, stored securely, for 8 years after the last interaction with an adult client and up to the age of 25 for a child under 16 when last seen, or to the age of 26 for 17-18 year old. Should you wish to request a copy of your records please contact me and I will provide them. You also have the right to request that your data be destroyed before the date above.
